Bharatiya Vidya Mandir was established on 19th August  1948 in Bikaner to create awareness  and provide education for one and all. The organisation operates Giridhardas Mundhra Bal Bharati and Giridhardas Mundhra public School at Bikaner, Rajasthan. On 1st July 1959 Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Research Institute was established, where research work on subject related to social utility and national dignity like Indian culture, history, archeology, folk literature, folk art, religion and philosophy and publishes books and bi-monthly research magazine ”Vaichariki”. which is regularly being published and till now 146 issues and 35 books have been published. Bharatiya Vidya Mandir also runs various projects of skilled development for workers, supervisors, graduate engineers and store keepers.
